A popular regular event The Curry Night Menu, remains a favourite evening choice, for those customers with a spicy tendency. There are also Speciality Pudding Nights, which are often fully booked in advance.
Next date 30th September, you can book a table on the reservations page ( £10.95 for 2 Courses ).
Most Wednesday lunchtimes The Chequers offer a Pensioners Special Pub Meal where mature citizens can eat in a friendly atmosphere without breaking the bank.

International Fish & Seafood Menu Night with Spanish, Italian, Chinese & British choices returns later in early summer. Book early next time for a complimentary dessert.
We also now have a Classic British Menu, which is only £12 for 2 courses, available Monday to Saturday evenings, including Friday nights, until about 9.00pm.
Families with Children are always welcome ( apart from at the bar ) and Maureen & Ivan offer a special Children’s Menu. In fact children may even be able to choose a reduced adult sized portion, including options from the Evening or Sunday Lunch Menus. There is no dedicated play area, but youngsters may be able to throw a ball for our resident Collie “Snoopy.” The description ‘youngsters’ is used loosely.
Alternate Tuesday nights customers are offered the chance to show off their general knowledge prowess in
‘The Chequers Pub Quiz Night.’ There is also the occasional Pie Night specials with London or Seafood choices. This is different from Tuesday’s regular ‘Pie and a Pint meal’ offer.
The Mexican Menu Special Night ( prepared by our American chef ) returns later in the spring.
There is also a Small Function Room Available for Private and Group Meal Bookings, ideal if you are having a large family meal, or require a business lunch were you can all be guaranteed being seated together. Availability depends on the amount of reservations required, and the time of day.

The pub is divided into two main rooms with a single straight bar. It is not a large metropolitan pub,but a traditional pub selling good quality pub food in an informal atmosphere.
