24th June 2009 ... but booking in advance was essential.”

THE PIE NIGHT Menus began on the 25th February 2009, and are a new regular event every alternate month or so.

But to help maintain our quality and value for money service there is one drawback - booking or reservation is essential - e.g. preferably by the 19th June for the 24th June.

For future Pie Nights there maybe a late cancellation, but why risk being disappointed? All customers have to do was make a choice from the menu below and either use the restaurant booking reservation form or phone: 01223 833220.

PUB FOOD SPECIAL PIE NIGHT

24th JUNE 2009

CLASSIC SEAFOOD PIE:

smoked haddock, tiger prawns, cod & salmon in a

rich béchamel sauce topped with leek, potato & cheddar mash

CHICKEN & HAM PIE

with a leek & cream sauce,

in  shortcrust pastry

 

TRADITIONAL LONDON PIE & MASH :

minced beef with a rich gravy in shortcrust pastry

with mash and liquor and jellied eels on the side!

 

STEAK & KIDNEY PUDDING:

an old fashioned steamed pie in suet pastry with plenty of gravy

 

WILD MUSHROOMS

in a Garlic Cream Sauce:

with a parmesan & polenta crust

 

 

All served with fresh vegetables and potatoes
