Situated south of the City of Cambridge, in Pampisford Village, close to Duxford, just off the A505 (close to the M11) The Chequers Inn may have a venue to suit your needs for your special meal, or meeting arrangements. This is not a large function room, but is suitable for up to about 18 people who simply want to enjoy fine, fresh food in an informal convivial atmosphere.

This room may suit some of the following functions:
- A room for a family celebration meal requiring seating for up to approximately 18 guests
- Business Dinners or lunches where you will want to all sit and eat together in the same room
- Coach and Tourist parties travelling to, or through, Cambridgeshire. There is of course additional seating in the main bar and restaurant area.
- Group bookings where it is convenient for all of the party to enjoy each others company, without being separated by being on different floors, rooms etc
- This room’s measurements reflect the inn’s history. It is about 18 feet long by 10 feet wide, and therefore is ideally suitable for conversations to continue across the room, as well as adjoining tables, yet giving a feeling of privacy from other customers.

Depending on the time and which day of the week, it maybe possible to reserve this room even if you are not booking it to it’s full capacity.
You may even be able to partially reserve tables in this room depending on your table requirements.
There is usually no additional charge for reserving this room for your special meal.
You pay for the menu at normal prices without additional fees. If booked well in advance for a large booking there may well even be a complimentary offering

Special reservations may enable the room to be booked for dedicated menus at times of the day other than at lunchtime and evenings. This of course depends on the number and nature of your table and guest requirements. Just give Maureen a call with your provisional numbers, time and date, or use the room booking and enquiry form.
You will find that because of the dimensions of this room, it maybe just what you have been looking for. no matter where a guest sits, it is easy to converse with them without having to raise your voice.

Please give as much notice as possible when booking. The Chequers Inn is not the sort of modern establishment to simply get a yesterday’s prepared meal out of the fridge.
